I will be utilizing the blog portion of this site to express some my philosophies on website design and usage. I will explore current trends and applications in website design. I will also be looking at the WordPress platform and its extensive list of themes and plugins. Since I began using WordPress exclusively for site design (about a year ago), I have become even more impressed with it and its capabilities. As we all know by now, a good portion of WordPress’ strength lies in the extensions created for it-the plugins! As a result, I will post critiques of some of my past favorites and review some new releases. Hopefully, my unvarnished reviews of these plugins will help you decide which may be right for you.
Lastly, I will be compiling lists of “have to have” plugins. As I’ve found, though there are some plugins that I use on every site, my choices for some of the functions changes over the course of time. And there are times when Form Plugin X might be good for a small site, but Form Plugin Y is better for larger sites. I will try to be one small voice helping to disseminate this information to the good folks looking for some guidance in the what, how and why of creating their next site.
